Refund policy

The short version: if we (or the printer) mess it up, we’ll put it right. If you just change your mind after a custom print’s been made, don’t expect a freebie return to the factory — this isn’t Primark.

This policy applies to orders from shop.thegrumpyoldgit25.com (The Grumpy Old Git).

To raise a refund or problem request: use Report a problem / request a refund and include your order number (and photos for damage/misprints).

1. Faulty, damaged, or wrong item

If your order arrives damaged, misprinted, missing, or clearly not what you ordered, tell us as soon as you can — ideally within 14 days of delivery, and no later than 30 days.

Please include:

  • your order number
  • a clear photo of the problem
  • a photo of the packaging if it arrived bashed up

We’ll sort a replacement or a refund (your choice where it’s reasonable). You usually don’t need to post the item back for print faults or transit damage — we deal with the print partner on that.

2. Changed your mind / wrong size / “don’t fancy it”

Most of what we sell is printed to order. Once it’s made with your size and design, it can’t go back on a normal shelf.

That means we don’t offer routine free returns for change of mind, ordering the wrong size, or deciding the colour isn’t your vibe.

If you’re stuck, use the request form anyway — we’ll be fair where we can. We’re grumpy, not heartless.

3. How refunds work

Refunds are issued back to the original payment method through this shop. We’re the seller of record — the print partner does not refund you directly.

If we approve a refund, allow a few working days for it to show up (banks sometimes take longer).

4. Shipping / lost parcels

If tracking says delivered and you haven’t got it, check with whoever shares your doorstep first, then contact us with the order number. If it’s genuinely lost in transit, we’ll investigate with the printer/carrier and arrange a reprint or refund as appropriate.

Wrong address supplied at checkout is on the customer — we may not be able to recover the parcel.

5. EU / UK consumer rights

Nothing in this policy is meant to take away any rights you have under UK (or applicable EU) consumer law. If the goods are faulty or not as described, those rights still apply.

6. How to contact us

Use Report a problem / request a refund, or the Contact page. Always include your order number.
